Chinook Voice (Alberta Trade Name Registration No. TN28259794) (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who visits our website or whose information is collected through our AI voice agent services. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

We operate under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Where we serve clients in the United States, applicable US federal and state privacy laws may also apply. We are committed to meeting our obligations under all applicable privacy legislation regardless of where our clients are located.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to:

  • Visitors to chinookvoice.ca
  • Business owners and operators who contact us or become clients
  • Callers who interact with AI voice agents operated by Chinook Voice on behalf of our clients

2. What personal information we collect

From website visitors:

No personal information is collected passively through this website beyond standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

From prospective and existing clients:

  • Business name, contact name, phone number, and email address
  • Business details provided during onboarding (hours, services, call handling preferences)
  • Payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card details)

From callers who interact with our AI voice agents:

  • First and last name (when provided)
  • Phone number
  • The content of their conversation with the AI agent
  • Call recordings and transcripts
  • Information they voluntarily share during the call (business type, booking preferences, questions asked)

3. Why we collect this information

We collect personal information only for the following purposes:

  • To provide AI voice agent services to our clients
  • To deliver call summaries and transcripts to client businesses after each call
  • To generate monthly performance reports for clients
  • To respond to enquiries from prospective clients
  • To communicate with existing clients about their service

We do not collect personal information for any purpose beyond what is listed above. We do not sell personal information. We do not use caller data to train AI models.

4. AI voice agent disclosure

Chinook Voice builds and operates AI-powered voice agents. These agents are not human. Every agent we build is configured to disclose that it is an AI if a caller asks directly. Calls may be recorded and transcribed.

Call recordings and transcripts are used solely to provide summaries and reports to the business that operates the agent. They are not shared with any other party.

5. How we store and protect your information

Personal information collected through our services is stored on our AI voice platform, which is SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA compliant, and GDPR compliant. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We retain call recordings and transcripts for as long as required to provide our services, or as requested by our clients, subject to applicable law. Clients may request deletion of their data at any time.

6. Third parties we work with

We share personal information only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to deliver our services:

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent to our collection or use of your information (subject to legal or contractual obligations)
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal or contractual obligations
  • Canadian clients may file a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated
  • US clients may have additional rights under applicable state privacy law, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
